Great Interior Features of the 2019 Ford F-150

The Ford F-150 is the best selling vehicle for over 36 years in the USA. This all-American truck is a proud symbol of our country, with its majestic looks.

If you’re in the market for a new car, you may be considering this powerful pickup truck. If you’re curious about its features, then keep reading. In this article, we’ll discuss the 7 best Ford F-150 features that’ll make it simply irresistible for you.

  1. AdvanceTrac System

The AdvanceTrac system is what makes Ford vehicles so safe and easy to drive. This comes standard with many models, including the F-150.

The AdvanceTrac system has gyroscopic sensors in the vehicle, which measure its stability 150 times per second! If the sensors find anything wrong with the stability of the truck, then it’ll correct the instability through one or more of the following:

  • Adjustment of brake pressure
  • Reduction of engine power

The greatest thing about AdvanceTrac is you don’t need to do anything for it to activate. In fact, you won’t even know it’s operating and making corrections for you since it’ll happen quicker than a blink of an eye.

  1. 360-Degree Camera

Maybe you’ve never driven a truck in your life. Or you’re a little bit rusty. Whatever the case is, you may not feel completely confident in your driving skills when looking at the Ford F-150.

That’s no problem! It comes with a 360-degree camera, which also has a split-view display.

There are 4 cameras located on the tailgate, grille, and each of the side-view mirrors. The system pieces together the images from all 4 cameras to give you a full view of the surroundings of your truck.

Should you want to add a trailer to your F-150, there’s also a dynamic hitch assist feature. This helps you put your hitch ball onto your trailer tongue in a simple manner.

With this comprehensive camera system, you won’t have to worry about running into obstacles (or people!) when you’re parking or driving your truck.

  1. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)

If you’re planning on making lots of long-distance trips, then cruise control is a must for your safety and comfort. Thankfully, the Ford F-150 comes equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).

ACC is an advanced piece of technology that uses something called Stop-and-Go. With Stop-and-Go, you set your desired speed and distance from the cars in front of you.

Once you turn ACC on, the truck will accelerate and decelerate by itself to maintain a safe speed and distance from other vehicles. It’ll even stop and start again in traffic! Do note, however, that if you’ve stopped for more than 3 seconds, you’ll have to press the “RES” button or press down on the accelerator pedal to activate ACC again.

  1. Blind Spot Information System (BLIS)

Are you going to be hitching a trailer or cargo to your F-150? Then the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) will be of great use to you.

Trying to maneuver a huge truck in busy traffic is already stressful enough. If you’re towing something behind you, it can cause even more anxiety.

With BLIS, it’ll help you switch lanes with ease. It utilizes radars on either side of your truck to help cover the areas you may miss. If a car is detected in your left blind spot, then the left side-view mirror will signal that.

Not only does BLIS take your truck’s length into account, but also your trailer or cargo. While this technology shouldn’t be a replacement for your own judgment, it can be very beneficial if you don’t feel too confident about getting around.

  1. Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB)

Automatic emergency braking (AEB) can literally mean the difference between life and death. While we can be highly experienced drivers, there are still times when something completely unexpected happens, and even if we practice defensive driving, something serious or fatal can occur.

To compensate for the natural delay in reaction time that humans have, AEB will help you drive even more defensively. This technology scans the road ahead of you for potential dangers, such as a pedestrian or car reversing out of a parking spot.

If there are potential dangers found, the system will then give you a visual and auditory warning. Not only that, but your brakes will be precharged and will be more responsive and sensitive.

Should you be in immediate danger of a collision and you don’t take action, AEB will automatically deploy your brakes so you don’t get into an accident.

  1. Lane-Keeping System

Again, if you’re planning on driving long distances, then the Lane-Keeping System can be a huge benefit. The technology identifies the lines in the road and if you get too close to a marker, it’ll vibrate your steering wheel to let you know.

Should this happen multiple times, a coffee cup icon will pop up. Keep in mind that this isn’t a steering system, but instead, a warning system. If the coffee cup icon comes up, it may be best to listen to it and stop driving for the time being.

  1. 8-Inch LCD Productivity Screen

This 8-inch LCD productivity displays a whole bunch of information conveniently in front of your street wheel. You can see towing data and fuel economy, as well as other customizable features.

Once you’ve figured out which screens you use the most, you can place them on the home screen for easy access.
